Women's Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Knoxville Sport reviews
Rod Stewart
Rod Stewart is an amazing showman and performer, in my opinion. I truly enjoy watching and listening to his performances. This review focuses on the venue. I mistakenly booked a ticket for an outdoor concert without realizing it, which was totally my error. However, I have been to outdoor concerts at various venues like Harvey's, Thunder Valley, Sleep Train, etc., so this experience was particularly frustrating.
The seating procedure was chaotic, with people streaming in from all sides as the show began. I was in Section 203, Row A, and found it difficult to focus on the ongoing performance due to the crowd trying to locate their seats in the dark. Many people congregated in front of our seats, arguing with event staff about their seating arrangements, even though they were the latecomers.
The aisles were filled with standing individuals who were not in their assigned seats, making it challenging to see, especially when they held up recording devices throughout the show. I usually choose seats in an "A" row to avoid obstructions, but this time it was a mess. Moreover, there was excessive smoking within the seating areas, including cigarettes, cigars, and pot. While I don't mind designated smoking areas, as a non-smoker, it was unpleasant to endure the smell nearby. I observed event staff ignoring the smokers and failing to redirect them to the designated smoking area.
I have never encountered so many late arrivals disrupting those of us who arrived on time to enjoy the show. Another concern was the hotel balconies overlooking the venue, raising questions about the screening process for attendees in light of past gun violence incidents in Las Vegas. It felt unsettling to be vulnerable, hoping that no dangerous individuals were nearby. I don't want to come across as overly sensitive, but this is the reality of today's world. I am unsure if I will return to this venue in the future.
